🌼 Pre-School Gathering: A Warm Start
To make our young learners feel welcomed and excited, we begin each academic year with a Pre-School Gathering. Our Grade 1 students are greeted with flowers and chocolates, creating a joyful first impression of school life. This tradition helps them feel at home and sets the tone for meaningful learning ahead.
📚 Implementing NEP 2025: Foundational Literacy & Numeracy
In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2025, our school launched several initiatives focused on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) starting from June.
One of the key highlights is our Market Visit Activity, where students explore local markets and interact with real-life scenarios involving:
Fruits, vegetables, and daily-use items
Understanding buying, selling, coins, and currency
Learning about health and nutrition
These hands-on experiences enhance not only academic understanding but also build essential life skills like confidence, communication, teamwork, and emotional intelligence.
🌿 Tree Plantation: Growing with Nature
Our Tree Plantation initiative educates students about:
Home gardens and plant types
Soil varieties and fertilizers
The basics of plant care and environment protection
This activity encourages students to appreciate nature and take responsibility for a greener future.
👩🏫 Honoring Icons: Savitribai Phule Jayanti
We commemorated the birth anniversary of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, introducing students to her remarkable contributions to education and women’s empowerment. This celebration highlighted the importance of literacy, gender equality, and the power of learning.
🎉 Celebrating Culture & Tradition
To preserve the rich heritage of Maharashtra, we celebrate a variety of festivals throughout the year, including:

Diwali
Dussehra
Christmas
Shiv Jayanti
Students actively participate in cultural programs and traditional festivities, with strong involvement from parents and staff, fostering a sense of unity and cultural pride.
🏆 Our Proud Achievement: Nipun Utsav
We are thrilled to announce that S.S.M. Primary School secured First Place in the Nipun Utsav (Educational Material Display & Presentation) competition under the FLN program — competing among 24 schools across Mumbai city. This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication of our students, teachers, and supportive parents.
